Ahhhhhhh, hear that sound?

It is the sound of my bottom not having to ride in a car this weekend. Somehow by the fate of the Gods I do not have to go anywhere this weekend. No events, No work.

I'm sorry [livejournal.com profile] janinas_nest and [livejournal.com profile] baron_rorik but I'm going to miss The Storvik Post Pennsic Dessert Revel. I have been encouraging folks who were thinking of attending to do so. It's a fun event.

I can work on my sewing area this weekend and get it organized again. With all the sewing for various events and Pennsic my sewing and embroidery shelves look like well, it's just too horrid for words.

My first plan of attack is to go to the laundromat in the morning and wash a large length of black fabric for various baronial uses.

We will miss you, but entirely understand! Next weekend is off for us and then we are missing Coronation to go to Dragon*Con.

Have fun organizing.

Ooooooo, Dragon Con! I always hear how great it is but I've never gotten to go.

I'll have fun organizing because of all the treasure's I'll find!

We had set up and paid for the DragonCon trip last year, before even considering stepping up as Baron/Baroness. Heck, Shecky and Bess hadn't even decided to step down yet. We have already apologized to Rowan for not being there, and are working on a spiffy individual oath of fealty for when we see them next. Our investiture oath was a tad long, and read by our herald. I liked the legal aspects of the period oath we modeled it on - what can i say, I'm a lawyer's daughter.

Enjoy the weekend off - some good friends are B&B of Madrona in An Tir, and they insist that a weekend a month off is essential to continuing mental health! Ad if there are any organizational vibes left over, send them my way! The house is in such a disaster that I may never see my way clear.
