BTW - you probably know this trick already, but just in case you don't: when looking at something small and tedious for long period, move your eye focus by looking out the window every ten minutes or so, and it will seriously cut down on your eye strain (not to mention relax you!)

I hear you! The knitting is not so bad but following the pattern is hard. I'll have to post a photo of how I've been marking it. You'll love it. :-)
