The DD and I went to DC yesterday to look at the A&S there.

We had lovely weather. Crowds weren't too bad but I saw more BIG buses than I'd seen in a long time.

I saw realy old-
Paintings,
Games,
Scrolls,
Die,
Sculptures in various mediums,

I saw not so old-
Paintings,
Games,
Die,
Sculptures in various mediums,
Stuffed mammals,

A show that was more hype than display. The items on display were VERY impressive. I just felt they didn't put alot of effort into quantity. The Natural History Museum had a HUGE banner outside for the pearls show that had two very small (less than 2 cubic feet each) cases. It included one gorgeous necklace on loan from Elisabeth Taylor and a selection of about a dozen incredible individual mammoth pearls. I was dissapointed especially since there is much more out there that could have been borrowed to show.

I saw a bulls head carved in milky white marble, and a VERY cool indoor lawn darts type game. Yes Indoor, but you might hear your mother saying "BE CAREFUL!! You could put your eye out with those things!"

But then it's worth owning a thing that WILL guarantee your mom will say that...
