Nov. 12th, 2005 08:35 pmToday my latest wick order came, Yea!
I made-
4 pairs of twisted candles,
3 pairs of tapers,
primed 144 wicks for either 6" tapers or 6" twists,
cut an additional 10 wicks that still need to be primed,
All before the wax I have left got too low to dip in any more.
There is enough wax left I may try to prime more wicks tomorrow.
I have an order of 3 lbs of gold and 4 lbs of white beeswax coming in from an ebay auction. That should make enough candles for Holiday Faire next weekend. Then I will need to purchase more wax to start my backup inventory. There are alot of suppliers out there. I need to find an apiary that is not too far away so I can save on shipping.
I'm going to talk to Aelfwynn about making some flat fairie sculptures and christmas ornaments (for next year) for me so that I can make my own silicone molds to offer specialty items.
My biggest job now is to find a supplier that has reasonable prices. So if anyone knows someone who raises bees I'd like to find out!
