Beach Report
Jul. 4th, 2006 07:41 amSo we are at the beach, away from lifes little pettyness from all fronts and it is good.
Mom is staying at the house to watch the dog and was concerned she wasn't eating anything. Now the time period of Cassie's supposed starvation was less than 24 hours. I told mom remember when we said she gets one cup in the morning and a second IF she finshes off the first? Cassie is light eater and supplements with treats all day. When she figures out the pack is not there to dole out as many treats her appetite will pick up. LOL!
Last night we had one VERY impressive summer beach thunderstorm. The evening ones you get when they call for "scattered" thunderstorms. Lots-O-Lightinin', Lots-O-Wind, and Lots-O-Rain. We could tell is was coming as Monday was much hotter and humid than Sunday. Also the ocean temperature went from 75 on Sunday down to 58 on Monday. All that moisture could not possibly stay in the sky forever.Erica and I started on a long walk but turned back when the weather started. Rain was not our concern as we could duck under any of the the raised houses for a bit but becoming human toast was not in the original plan.
I've been working on my socks and an SCA project. All are coming along nicely. The SCA project will be done this week. Yee ha! Too bad it is one I'm giving away.
We have made the and eaten the ceremonial pan of cocoa rice krispie treats. We have large amounts of NC tomatoes and are happy.
So Peeps, that is how beach time is going. See you all next week.
