martelvonc: (AHHHHHH!)
Yes, my living room is a tip right now. Bins collecting stuff, bins lined up. I am a plastic binny sort of person when I camp. I like the security that my stuph will stay dry if it rains.

Yesterday I sat in front of the TV all day and worked on the following finishing hand sewing:

1 undertunic

1 over tunic

1 very cool stripey hood.
Yes dear reader(s) I found a little image of a peasant in the Katherine of Cleves book of Hours that is wearing an off-white hood woven with stripes. Not wide stripes but more like multi-lines woven in. It also has a square not round bottom edge. It looks like a poncho with an attached hat. I happened to have the perfect fabric for it and I have much hoody happy-ness goin' on as I've not seen anyone else make hoods like this. I belive I will make more as the book has many more examples both long and short and by gum they look comfortable. Though it will involve making more man clothes as I've not seen images of women wearing this sort of hood.

1 set of bries

AND I cut out one pair of VERY red hosen and another set of bries.

Todays goal is to-
complete the hosen and the bries
cut out another set of hosen
cut out another over tunic
cut out another under tunic

Well, off to the salt mines.....
