New garb may be in my future.
Feb. 10th, 2007 12:54 pmI have had many kind offers of help to make garb. I am going to take them up on their offers as I cannot possibly sew fast enough and do everything else. I tend to, shall we say, wander when it comes to projects.
I would like to have a new mongolian outfit for the Bright Hills event in May. I need to find a shoe substitute for the mongolian boots as I can't quite afford to spring for a new pair of those. I wonder if I can slide by with a plain pair of boots? I'm going to shoot for the outer coat to be in an off white with black trim, the inner tunic to be gold, and have black pants. How does that sound
gerkeeper? I will need to consult with you and Chagan about fabric weights and designs.
I'm not sure I'm ready for the whole big hair deal in mongolian royal outfits yet. I'll need to work up to it, maybe. The idea of having to wear a hat all day as Baroness is going to take some getting used to as it is. Let's not throw wigs into the ring yet.
Since the 16th century Persian clothing has worked out so well I'd like to add a couple more of those to my wardrobe. Pennsic is going to include as many outfits with pants as I can muster. The "dirty legs from road dust" thing gets on my nerves. I will also wear viking as my favorite part about these outfits is the jewelry and the comfyness of the dresses.
Ah well, back to work. I should be working on an Access database.
