The projects move apace.

Today I had almost the whole day off. I only had to take Aelfwynn to the dentist. We stopped at Staples on the way home and I looked at the filing systems they had. I really needed a new solution to the rusting metal file cabinet in the back room. SO I chose 2 restaurant rack style rolling lateral files. They were cheap but they are doing the job famously. I spent the past 3 hours clearing out the paperwork from last year that can be tossed or shredded. It's all now on the rack, top row by current year and detailed, and the bottom rack with past years that needed to be saved.

I put my sca research files on the other rack and now I need to sort the pile of copies into project folders. Any duplicate copies I'll take to fighter practice to give away.

Next weekend I'm going to start work on my research book shelves to get some sort of organization to THAT mayhem. I'm considering moving my computer desk down stairs near where I sew and work but I've not decided yet. I'd rather move into one of the kids room and make my own "Girl Cave". I may do it when Paul goes to college in the fall and move him down to the basement to live in the man cave.

Oh well, back to work, the stuff is not putting itself away.

Filing and sorting, Sorting and filing.

It is what I did today.

I filed most of the loose SCA and household papers and threw away a slew of "WTF did I save this for?" papers (pardon my French). I have one basket to go through yet. Then I can start carting books, that are accumulating on the Deacon's Bench, down to the basement and putting them on bookshelves.

I'm feeling much better about starting new projects now. My random SCA research is starting to be found and filed. Unfortunately I've found I will need to go back to Staples and buy another one of these rolling filing racks for my SCA research. It looks like I will need to break it up into garb on one rack and misc. information subjects and needlework on the other.

I need to buy magazine holders for my TI's that are starting to appear out of the woodwork too.
sigh, If only I was more organized and would deal with this stuff as soon as I obtain it.

I have to go get the daughter from work now and then I'm going to fall into bed. I'm beat!
