Whew! I can say it now!
I just finished a sooper sekrit projekt that was SO SEKRIT I could not even utter the words here.
strawberrykaren allowed me to embroider the hand towel for the vigil of Mistress
alina_s. As you may know Alina is my Head Retainer AND reads my LJ so I could not even mention the project until it was given last Saturday.
The pattern is a small border from a 16th century Italian sampler at the V&A. It is worked in reversable running stitch in black, Au Ver A Soie silk thread on a linen ground. The Laurel wreath is worked in stem stitch in the center.

I of course forgot to take any photos of the towel so I need to get with Alina and take some for my project records.
