So another weekend passes with me and the son getting less than quality sleep time.

We spent Saturday night in the emergency room because the son went wheezy and we could not get it under control at home. Now he is in the hospital and we hope he will be released today. The resperatory folks were happy with how he was sounding last night so hopefully he continued to improve overnight. Paul looked much better when we left last night.

Why is it that kids never do this in the morning, oh say, about 9-10am? After you've had a good nights sleep and breakfast?

And, as many of you know who have asthma know, treatment in the ER for wheezing is PAINFULLY boring and slow.
This is because the drugs and neb treatments they give you do not work right away. SO they give you a drug and then tell you "Okay we've done this. we will see how you do over the next two hours....".

If they decide to give you steroids you are doomed to 5 more hours of waiting. Knowing this I took a knitting project and two embroidery projects to work on and Paul took his new book. He felt yucky but even he knew to keep from going nuts he needed to take something to do.

I've now had 7 1/2 hours sleep but I still am beat.
