I had a very good time yesterday. I schmoozed, I checked out A&S, I taught a class, I helped judge some A&S. I schmoozed some more, I laughed, I snacked, I was kept wrangled.
The site where HRM is held is not a bad site. Except.....when it rains. Then the little stream that runs down the center of the site becomes a raging turent of flood waters and the ground is miserable. Fortunatly this year was high and dry! I was even able to drive the truck right down to the field to load up in the evening.
Thank you mistress autocrat!!!! I don't mind so much in the morning. I am fresh and I had my big garden cart with me. But come the evening and I'm starting to wilt from fatigue, being able to take the vehicle *to* my stuff and load was a blessing.
Packing for vacation will start soon. I like to take small hand projects with me and this year is no exception. The grand plans for this year are-
*I need to cut out the prototype for a hand sewing project I want to work on while I'm on vacation. I will do that tonight and bag up all of the supplies I need for it. I must promise myself WILL NOT touch it until I get there. (ok, go ahead and say it- "Liar!")
*take the new silk veil that I am working on and finish beading the edge. I've lost my other silk veil with the Beaded edge. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I did with it. So I must make a new one.
*maybe take the OA lion. I can put uninterupted time into when the family runs off to do different things. Working on it is relaxing and I like the quite *me* time.
*work on a few more pairs of garters. I'm making about 8 pr of Atlantian blue ones. That should be good amount. I can sit on the beach and knit. ah life will be good!
That should keep me busy for the week don't ya think?
