Thanks! The family cannot stand the sound of Exacto knife on bone so I am relegated to the front porch! hehehe!

BTW, I have the princess cloak and will bring it on Sat.

Way cool ... I remember times you've been relegated to outside fighter practice too

Still pretty cool indeed :)

Unfortunately this hobby is noisy and smelly and I don't even use electric tools. It makes me real popular with dogs! LOL!

I was a wonderin' what these are based on? I've seen bone pins, but I can't recall any these small. :D And I have LOTS of small bone pieces that this would work for.....

This example happens to be 16cm. Mine are 9.5 and the other is 10cm. Smaller to wear for dress pins. The larger ones are for cloaks.

I'm not such a good detail carver yet so my pins will be much plainer.

They look great though!

Here is one company. I've not ordered from them before so I can't vouch for their customer service.

Any chance you'd consider some "hands on" training at Storvik? I've always wanted to try that. (Of course, I need another hobby like I need a hole in the head...but heck! Pennsic's coming up and I'll have loads of free time, giggle)

What and risk being thrown off site for "making noise like fingernails on a chalk board? No way!

But I could bring my bone carving box to Pennsic and we can scrape bone there and the mess will be outside too! I've got plenty of bone and antler to play with.
