If you are of the prayin' sort...

Keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, or sound a mantra but I am finally getting around to starting the small knitted medieval design purse kit that I bought from [livejournal.com profile] caemfind at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival last May. The colors are a dark green and an off white. I have of course lost the front card that had a photo of a finished purse for reference. It's somewhere in my paperwork. blech. I've never done two color knitting before.

I have to keep reminding myself...don't pull the traveling strands too tight! So far so good. The tube is appearing and it is not a mobius! Go me! I won't be carrying this project around as I have to concentrate so hard on the chart and the two strands of string I can't really take it as a casual project. I'm up to row 5 now in 1 1/2 hours of work.

I'm determined to do this. I want the little purse and so I shall have it! By Gum!

I'll post pictures when I get a few more rows done and there is something to see.

Update* this morning I was able to knit one row of 72 stitches in only 20 minutes!

I love working in multiple colors.

Don't be afraid! If you are willing to knit anything regardless of how badly it comes out then you will get the hang of it.

It does not take as long as you think for it to become automatic pilot.

This little bag is really little, about 4"x6". I thought start small and finish fast for instant gratification but I forgot to figure into the equation these are like size one needles! Doh!

My CTS is not going to be pleased! :-)
