My Apprentices? They are full of awesome!

Yesterday Katerina sarahjeanh attended Coronation in her new Landsknecht Camp Frau gown. She was so beautiful! It is all hand sewn and the hem guards were hand pieced triangles in 4 colors of brocades. The body of the dress is a luscious gold cashmere wool. The chemise has a collar of beautiful blackwork she embroidered herself. Her hat was to die for with the white ostrich plumes on the brim. When I saw her walking across the road with her skirts hiked up she looked right out of German woodcut.

And to top it all Katerina even made Blane a wonderful coat in one evening out of beautiful wool he chose himself. He was quite handsome in his outfit. She also has more classes in the works on Landsknecht Camp Frau clothing. Watch for a future university near you!

Sweizcka has been sewing like a fiend working on surcoats and the heraldic presence for House Wulfshaven. Their pavilion looked awesome at coronation yesterday and Pennsic. Ok, the Wulfshaven pavilion always looks awesome but they are really starting to kick it up a notch. They had collected an impressive number of voting beads in their can.

She feels it is so important that heraldic display pulls together the group. Everyone knows who Wulfshaven is in no small part to her efforts.

What? I can gush if I want to!

Thank you for putting a name to the lovely Landsknecht Camp Frau. I had been toying with an idea, and it was absolutely inspiring to see such lovely work on field (and in such heat!).

It was great to see Katerina (it had been forever since she and I had chatted). I enjoyed petting the pretty fabric . . . . and the dogs were nice, too :-) Lovely to meet Blane - seems a nice fellow.
