but I must go to work.

TTNT was a great event. We planned for rain.

Yes, you heard right.

We actually assumed that we would have rain and so every one of our planned activities happened as scheduled with no hitches. We did not have to adjust anything for the weather. The weather adjusted for us and stayed dry most of the day.

This is the way to go folks. Assume the weather will be bad, be ready for it, and everyone ends up having a very nice time. If you assume the weather will be nice and it does rain then there is much panic and cancellations when you try to stop the train and move it to a different track.

We had a very large (as in huge) covered pavilion attached to the feast hall with gobs of picnic tables. The merchants were under cover, the attendees were under cover, the fighters equipment was covered. A win/win situation.

There was even a large covered pavilion for the archers to shoot out from under.

We had A&S, we had bardic all day, we had two fireplaces going, we had feast, we had court, we had archery. We even had dormitories with bunk beds and heat so no one had to camp in the rain.

One of the highlights is we had an absolutely hysterical heavy weapons tavern brawl tournament! The best round was the bout of two fighters each seated on one side of a picnic table. Their only weapon was an SCA legal mace padded out to look like a turkey leg! Not as easy as it sounds! A good time was had by all. Of course everyone was amused by Nathan's "Smackeral".

We have evil plans for next years TNT heavy fighting! Be ready!

This weekend's silent auction to benefit the barony was successful. Thank you to everyone who took home a treasure.

This was the last of the great stash donated to the barony by the husband of Her Excellency, the late Roanna de Laci. We miss her greatly but her legacy lives on in our Brewer's Guild, The Saint Mathias Guild, and in the funds raised from the sale of her fabric, patterns, sewing supplies and garb. These funds help us to purchase the loaner equipment the barony supplies to all the disciplines, from archery, to rapier, to heavy, to A&S, to demos. In Bright Hills we believe our funds should be used to support the baronial activities. Roanna would be pleased.

I love my barony. You give them lemons? They know just what to do with them!

Tired. Want nap. I don't remember the event, this is generally a sign that I had a good time.
