I've been a busy bee (HA!) using up my current supply of beeswax.
So my inventory stands at-
54 prs of 6" tapers
9 prs of 6" twisted tapers
13 thread/bowstring waxers
Tomorrow I will be molding waxers since I've temp. run out of candle wicking. I'll also be taking digital photos and starting some auctions on Ebay and E-Pagan. Ebay charges a fee and has millions of members, E-Pagan is free but has a lower member base.
I also want to make pine cone fire starters but I need to find a friend with a yard full of pinecones I can clean up for them. Any takers? Any Size or variety is fine!
After going through my stash I've found I have enough baskets, bowls, table cloths and wooden candle holders to make a nice looking display for my candles. Unfortunately I did not get my butt in gear in time to get a temp. sales tax license for VA. so that I could sell at Holiday Faire this year. That's the way the cookie crumbles. There is always next year and I will be ready! So I will be looking for other local craft faires to ply my goods at. I also need to keep building my inventory so that I can pack up and go to a show at a moments notice and not panic too badly.
I've wanted to have a small business of my own so that I could be my own boss and give me retirement income. I've worked both retail and the craft show circuit in my youth so I know the ropes. Hopefully I can make a Bit-O-Cash doing what I like to do.
