I've been knitting like a mad woman this week. I'm once again making cotton wash cloths to give as gifts with nice bars of Trader Joe's, triple milled, soap. I've gotten 4 done so far and I have 4 more on the needles as we speak.
Yea, I'm knitting 4 in rotation. I found a yahoo group that does twice monthly Knit-Alongs of mystery washcloths. Starting on the 1st and the 15th of the month, each day 10 rows of knitting instructions are posted to the group. You knit up these rows every day but you don't know what the washcloth will look like in the end. The first design of the month is to be worked with a solid color cotton yarn as it knits up into a knit/pearl picture. The second of the month can be in any cotton yarn as it will be a knitting "stitch" design. It is quite fun!
This has given me an idea for a totally un-period but SCA related nice thing to make for favors and gift baskets. Updates later......
