My Barony ROCKS! Boo Yah!
May. 14th, 2007 08:48 amI am still one tired puppy from Saturdays event. I am always amazed at the forces that come together to make an event happen. This was my very first home event as Baroness of Bright Hills. Investiture was a blur and I did not feel like a baroness yet.
Recognizing people in court for their efforts is a humbling experience. They have talents that they are very happy to share in all sorts of venues. Martial, service, arts, sciences. We are who we are because of these people.
Her Highness Rowen was a hoot and great fun on Saturday. We are fortunate to call her a Bright Hillian. She will be called to other duties this next year and we will miss her but we let her know that the home fires will burn for her and we will always keep a light on for her.
I need to try to make some free time at events. There were a lot of good merchants in attendance and I did not get to visit but one or two. Sigh.....
If anyone is interested Mongolian garb is very comfortable and easy to make. It is perfect camping clothing and I am going to make some more for Pennsic wear. Last years man clothes experiment worked very well but the Mongolian is better. Persian Clothing rates very high also and will be part of the mix too.
Ah well I must go back to putting away event things so that I can work on other projects today.
TTFN all!
