It's almost starting to look like people live here...

and not wild animals.

I spent last evening organizing the back storage room and cleaning the family room/man cave for the guy's LAN party this weekend. Another stint of vacuuming and it will be ready for the gaming fest.

Today sees me working my son near to death as we take accumulated stuff from upstairs and putting it in it's rightful place in the basement. Heavy vacuuming will commence on the first floor after that. Many trashcans must be emptied, a trip to the recycling center and the goodwill store will also be in the cards. Oh yea and the bathrooms must at least start out clean and stocked.

The LAN party always comes at the time of year I like to start spring cleaning so I have an extra incentive to get it done in time for that. I have to work on Saturday but Sunday will be spent getting Paul and The Knight to cleanup after the party.

If you want to play computer games for two days straight, bring your set up and join the party at my house this weekend. We'll have snacks and sodas but more is always welcome.

Paul is being a real sport. His allergies are kicking his butt today but he's working with me and we are in serious "git er' dun!" mode!

The son and I went to the recyling center with a minivan full of boxes and paper.
We then went to the NEESAP charity shop and left a load of household stuph.
THEN we stopped off at the "Swap Shop" at the Carroll Co. landfill and left a computer chair that could still be used but on which the back had gone bad. For free, someone is bound to take it home.

The rest of the day will be spent moving junk down to the basement and gathering together books to take to "The Book Thing" on Sunday.

I'm feeling really good about all this!
