Mother's Day
May. 11th, 2008 08:58 amToday is Mother's Day and as my faithful readers have gleaned I am in fact, a mother.
I have two great kids, they don't get in trouble, are smart and funny and will both attend college, though to hear them tell it I-
Nag about too many things,
dirty clothes left lying about, washing those clothes themselves, their junk left about the house, doing their chores, re-doing their chores when they are not done properly, closing the fridge, getting good grades, doing the school work nescessary to GET the good grades, mow the lawn, take out the trash, let the dog out, let the dog in, do the dishes, clean their bathroom, etc. etc.
Am too strict,
Am too lienient (depending on the child you ask).
Am out of touch,
I do not look at this as nagging. I look at this as character development. I tell than that their future spouses will thank me every day for teaching them how to be better partners.
Motherhood, just another service I perform.
