The Pennsic gift basket project is starting to wind down. I have 1.5 napkins left to bead and 3 to do needlework on. With any luck they will be complete by next week. Then I can mail them off. I think they are nifty and I hope the recipients like them.

I'm getting my pennsic classes together. One, the childrens blackwork class just needs kits made up and handouts printed. I already had this class written. For the second, table setting in the middle ages, I need to make class notes and print out more pictures. This one doesn't have a hand out but does have a display that I need to collect things for.

So as usual the Pennsic planning is in full swing. Since the knight will not be able to attend Pennsic the packing will be lighter (pfffttttt!) because we will not have his armour. We have also decided to leave behind the garden cart since we did not use it very much last year. My small market cart was VERY useful and WILL be going with us. So even allowing for the extra things we need to take for the son who is coming this year we should be okay in packing the minivan. The thing that really saves us is that we are on a really good food plan and we don't have to carry all that cooking gear AND food to pennsic.

We are looking forward to going and it is only 23 days away! Woo Hoo!

I *almost* hate you for being able to go to Pennsic (then I remind myself that Pennsic ISN'T air conditioned and I don't do so well in heat and humidity anymore... :-( )

AND - the Northshield is almost done. This is the best one so far. I worked with one of my "students" last night, her embroidery is coming along nicely. Reinforced the 'smaller is better' that you pounded into my head.

I will take another on Friday to do.

Maybe try to get a hotel room next year and day trip in each day? The you get the best of both worlds.

Your needle skill are coming along just fine. You are stitching straight and as you pratice your stitch lengths are becoming more uniform. This is important for the look of your work. Next I'll have you make something for YOU. This way you can show off your work. Keep practicing on your sampler cloth too.

Excellent! I'll give you the one for the East Kingdom. I'll finish the beading today and get it drawn up. This one is only Blue Tiger.
