In the past week I have knit 5 dish/face cloths.

These little projects are kind of addictive. I keep looking for new patterns to try. I hope folks will be happy to receive them but if they aren't that's okay because I got the fun of knitting all the cool patterns.

I'd like to get ahold of a copy of the Vogue Knitting book. It's supposed to be crammed full of patterns to try. For now I've been going through the patterns at the Dishcloth Boutique-

Plenty of great ideas here!

Gotta go wake the son up for school and then start knitting again!

The vogue knitting is by far one of the best knitting reference tools I've ever used. It also has a great companion "quick reference guide" that's spiral bound and good for jogging your memory when you're out and about and knitting.

*grin* You've discovered one of the reasons I've been having fun knitting and crocheting squares for "Warm-Up America" the last few years (ack... it's been over 10 now!). 7x9 "squares" are great for trying out new patterns, and are portable as well.

Then there's the plain one I keep going... it's good for car trips in the dark, if I'm not driving... and for keeping the fingers from twiddling to death during movies, if the theater's not so crowded that I have to sit right next to someone. (yes, those are plastic needles, and I am extra careful to keep them quiet)

Ha! I know what you mean about keeping your fingers busy. :-) That's the reason I always have some sort of small project to work on.
