A good day.

Today is a good day. Not because anything of note is happening but it is sunny and bright and feels like a good day.

I'm almost finished my first bayeux birdie. I will be putting my sewing machine in the shop today so that I can make it into a purse for the gulf war gift basket project. I like it. I'll be sad to give it away. I'll start the next one later on. I'd like to give 10 purses. Akiyo volunteered to help too. They won't be kingdom specific this time since I don't know what kingdoms will be there. They will be a nice giftie for the royals to keep for themselves or to give away if they prefer.

I've been doing housework this morning and needed a break. I've scrubbed a bathroom, bleh! I've vacumed the first floor and cleaned the kitchen counters. I've even got almost all of the BHBB stuff out of the minivan and put away. I need to get my candle stuff out and down in the basement now.

I'm amazed at how much of our house cleaning involves dog hair. It's EVERYWHERE! I'm thinking of springing for a grooming for the dawg. Maybe that would help. I'm really sorry if you come to our house and leave covered in dog hair. I try to keep up I really do!

I can empathize about the dog hair. Even if we sweep every day and brush often, our shepherd sheds enough hair to choke an elephant. When she walks across the floor in front of the windows, you can actually see the hair jump off of her. I've given up on keeping the baby clean. Periodically, I run him over with a lint brush so he doesn't blend into the rest of the hair balls. *giggle*

When you com by tomorrow, can you bring one or two of the christmas tube lights plus the really long orange extension cord (it has to be long enough go from my apartment down some of the stairwell)? I need to do a photo project with them =)

A friend whose family had a Husky told me that they used to vacuum the dog (using the hose and brush attachment) to keep the level of free-range dog hair to a minimum. Apparently the dog loved it.

I've thought about that one but the dawg is afraid of the vacume cleaner. :-)
