How many ways can you say it?
May. 29th, 2009 07:14 amI'm much happier with Facebook now that I stopped doing the applications. I'm not picking up computer viruses any longer. That certainly was a pain in the butt.
I figure my web presence is pretty much relegated to my hobby life. I don't have any "Martha" specific sites or blogs. Google "Martha Fletcher" and you don't get much. Google "Martelle von Charlottenburg" and you get quite a bit more. When I first started blogging, posting photos etc. I decided to adhere to the rule "Don't post anything you would not want your boss to see". I have no control about what others post about me or even what is copied from my journal and posted elsewhere, but I am not worried about what my boss could read in MY content.
I know I have web presence here at Live Journal and-
Facebook (mostly for catching up with old friends and short notes),
MySpace (occasional musings that are just repeats of here at LJ),
Freewebs (for the household website),
Flickr (for my photos),
Library Thing (for my books),
Yahoo Groups (most of my list participation is here),
DeviantArt (not updated in a long time),
Ravelry (for knitting but not played with much).
At one time I was on Diaryland but left there for here.
That's about all I can handle. I don't even use twitter. I ramble as it is without adding a phone to the mix.
I never imagined being able to do these things when I was a teenager in the 70's, Heck, I could not even imagine it in the 80's.
How far we've come.
