So, I have new obsession, don't be shocked.

I have now completed 5 different braids for a total length of 256" or 21'4".

Most of this is going to be made into other items with about 3" from each braid to go into my braid journal.

The Knight is mildly amused but is interested enough to ask what I'm working on now. :-)

Pretty!

Where are you getting your patterns? Book, on-line, class pamphlet?

Books and on line.

Actually except for the red/white one they are all the exact same 8 bobbin braiding pattern, just different color combinations on the bobbins. If you click to enlarge the photo you can see the structure better.

The braid makes the shape, the colors make the pattern.

I will need silk and I'd rather buy it from a friend. :-)

After a bit of a search I just ordered the BIG sample book from Eterna. It runs 111.00 including a small first order discount and shipping. This is a resource I've needed for quite some time for embroidery but hadn't bucked and and coughed up the price before.

As soon as it arrives I'll get together an order for you. Will you be at TTNT?

The Knight was in an amiable mood (after payday and bills were paid) so he was okay with the purchase. Anything over a 100 bucks we talk it over.
