Christmas is HOW far away?
Sep. 2nd, 2005 07:59 amBesides my SCA projects and the cross stitch designer sample I'm working on, I've started Christmas presents. This year I've decided that my family will be subjected to my knitting efforts in the form of cotton face cloths (wash rags). I'm going to buy nice baskets and fill them with fancy soaps, bath items, etc.
I like to knit the different texture patterns and this way I can try all sorts of patterns and then give them away! There are boat loads of free patterns on line to keep me going.
I'm not confident enough to make an article of clothing yet. I guess because if I make and wear a sweater there is no denying that I made it warts and all. Also it is such a large project with not a lot of instant gratification in it. I'd like to make a T-tunic style cotton sweater. I have the yarn, I just need to decide what surface pattern I want to use.
Well, back to projects, they aren't makin' themselves!
