As you all know my Christmas gifts this year once again involve knitting. (I believe in working with what ya know, even if you only know enough that folks don't laugh at you.) I'm making many face cloths this year.

I like the idea of my knitting being used in the bathroom rather than for washing greasy dishes, But I digress.

I found a pattern that had no picture and just the cryptic name "Dish Cloth with Eyelets" In a stroke of design brilliance I decided to make this eyelet pattern in white cotton yarn. *Insert laughter now*

ANY WAY, This pattern has a direction for just about every line with many *repeat line so and so's*. So far I've only had to rip it out completely 3 times before I made it through enough rows to get a grip on the pattern. I'm feelin' that's not too bad considering I've only just started learning how to read patterns and work from them.

Now as I work more and more, this pattern is working out to be pretty cool. Not having a picture has given me a little bit of magic as the pattern appears in the fabric. With the way things are in the world today I'll take a little bit of innocent magic anywhere I can get it.
