Time for me!
May. 21st, 2007 07:01 amWhew! No themed events for a while. I love making new garb to fit the theme of an event but I've done it twice in the last 3 1/2 months. I'm looking forward to just looking in my closet and wearing what I have.
I'm very grateful for barony seamstresses who have volunteered to take my fabric and make it into garb for me. Fabric I had. Time, not so much of.
Being a singleton coronet is challenging because I answer all the emails, the phone calls, and do the things that need doing, by myself. I could not do it without help. I may wear the hat but I am supported by many people. So I guess really I'm not a singleton but a whole team. That's very cool!
Anyway, I have found myself with a bit more time and I am cracking down to work on my Opus Anglicanum project. Embroidery is slow going on the best of days and this is more so because the stitches are small.

The plan is to get a minimum of 1 hour work on it every night. I really do want to finish this project as it will be a cover for a ring binder. My goal is to finish it in time for the Tempore Atlantia 1000-1250 ce. This will roll around at the next Kingdom 12th Night in January. Deadlines, I NEED deadlines if I have any hope of getting a project done.
That, and I have two more SCA embroidery projects in the pipeline that I am determined not to start until this is closer to being done. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Oh geeze I just slay myself!
We all know that I will start these so I have NO idea who I think I'm fooling.
