Blue Deel, Day four.
Jun. 17th, 2008 09:16 pmI have decided that with strong will and perseverance one could finish a lined deel in less than 10 hours from start to finish. This includes the handwork needed for hemming. They are comfy and dead easy to make. On top of that they are SCA period and depending on the time frame come in a variety of styles.
I am now waffling about adding the trim. I kind of like the way it looks right now. It's supposed to be an earlier style and from what I've seen in art work they aren't so highly decorated outside of court wear. I've still got 3 evenings left to do the hemming work and make a decision on the trim. But my gut instinct says leave it alone it looks fine.
My black boots need to be polished again but even they look like the art work I've seen. Yea Ebay!
The pearled headdress will not be done for Saturday. There just isn't time.
but yea! I'll have new garb!
