So close to not being an orphan...

As you may know, your heroine has been clearing out her orphan project basket. This particular bit of knitting was a net shopping bag I started last December, the same week as my rotator cuff injury got to it's worse. Needless to say I could not count stitches straight and it showed. The bag was full of fail. It was delegated to the OP basket.

I got tired of my OP basket whining at me from the sewing area so I have begun to finish these projects. The latest one I have pulled to finish up is this bag. I liked it when I bought it and I still like this project today but I got discouraged.

I've been knitting up a storm on my shopping bag but....I ran out of yarn and guess where the rest of the yarn is. Yes, you guessed correctly, at home. Why is this a problem? I am currently 350 miles away from HOME at the beach. Fortunately I am in the same town as the yarn shop where I purchased this project originally. So I must suffer and go and visit this yarn shop again. Too bad! Oh the horror! hehehe!

Since at a guess, you're most likely somewhere nearish where I'll be next week... the question is which shop are you hitting? I've plans to hit the one nearest to where we rent every year... but I know there are at least one or two others within a fairly easy drive.

Knitting Addiction - which has recently moved into Kitty Hawk, just past the Wright Brothers Memorial and the Kitty Hawk Post Office. on 158.

That was the store that was near the bridge before, I thought...it moved?

I know I'll hit the shop in Manteo. Will be trying to stop at Knitting Addiction if I've time and am up there ar the right time. We stay in South Nags Head, so anything up in Kitty Hawk is rare, further north even more so.

Yes, the moved to a bigger building.

Heck if you're in nags head youre closer to them now than when they were in SS. Maybe 15 minutes? 20 if you hit all the lights.

From all the way down by MP 19, it can *easily* take and hour to get to First Flight. (Especially getting past the movie theater.

But yes, that's much closer :-)

I'll probably make it there sometime next week/week after. If you ever get down to Manteo, the other shop moved last years, to next to the Pioneer Theater. It's crowded, taking up all of the 1st floor of the house, but as one room is weaving and spinning, one yarn, and one of accessories for all things fiber, it's worth a look (and those who work there have always been very friendly).
