If you are of the prayin' sort...
Jan. 14th, 2009 11:15 pmKeep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, or sound a mantra but I am finally getting around to starting the small knitted medieval design purse kit that I bought from
caemfind at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival last May. The colors are a dark green and an off white. I have of course lost the front card that had a photo of a finished purse for reference. It's somewhere in my paperwork. blech. I've never done two color knitting before.
I have to keep reminding myself...don't pull the traveling strands too tight! So far so good. The tube is appearing and it is not a mobius! Go me! I won't be carrying this project around as I have to concentrate so hard on the chart and the two strands of string I can't really take it as a casual project. I'm up to row 5 now in 1 1/2 hours of work.
I'm determined to do this. I want the little purse and so I shall have it! By Gum!
I'll post pictures when I get a few more rows done and there is something to see.
Update* this morning I was able to knit one row of 72 stitches in only 20 minutes!
