My day started just like any other when I get ready for an event. I got up early, listened to my family complain about why do we have to leave for events so early, I explain to them for the millionth time that I have a pavilion that needs to be put up, or that I am in charge of something at the event and need to arrive early, yada, yada yada. They grumble but get themselves together.
We get on the road pretty much on time and arrive on site at the Marietta Mansion.

I arrive to a lot of the barony members already on site and the pavilions are up. I was confused because I did not realise the Evil Master had come down on Friday Night and had the pavilions up then. Family rolls their eyes at me.

alina_s A&S Novice entry and my "Then & Now" display over to the A&S tent. We got quite the scare when Master Chirhart took ill from the heat first thing and Mistress Jeanne had to take him home. She called back later to say he still felt unwell but his temperature was starting to settle down being in the cool house. We were all VERY relived to hear this.
So it comes time for morning court and it was already starting to get warm so we decided to stay in the shade of the baronial pavilion and listen to court from there. Their Excellencies Rorick and Janina opened the event and then their Majesties Called Baroness Molly into court and called the Order of the Laurel where they gave her a writ to sit vigil at this upcoming Pennsic. I was really excited!!! I've already started plans for a gift for her! Whoo hoo!
Then Their Majesties told the Order to remain in court because their business wasn't done. It was then that Jeanmaire and Mistress Kiri walked arm in arm and headed over to our pavilion. Now we had quite a group under the pavilion and being the dumb cluck that I am did not realize it was ME they were coming for until they got about 15 feet away and with big grins on their faces said it was MY turn!
Apprently my reaction was of much amusement to the crowd because I was fanning myself vigorosly in the heat and as Jeanmaire and Kiri got closer my fan went slower and slower until my hand flew up to my mouth and my eyes flew open!
The dumb cluckiness of my person was also evident as the barony set up my vigil room right behind me! I figured Chirhart had instructed the walls to be put up because after the last event the new pavilion was used, he and I had discussed how best to hide modern stuff to improve the baronial presence. We decided that the walls could be used to hide all the modern containers and coolers from sight. So I did not question the walls going up. Doh!
I am taken into court and this is where things go fuzzy, there were many smiles, I am asked if I would sit vigil, court is closed. Then off we go.
I'm still getting teary eyed as I sit here and type so I will take a bit to gather my wits again.

(According to Heraldic friends I'm told that using multiple titles isn't proper, so I shouldn't say Baroness Mistress or Mistress Baroness. I sort of agree since saying that out loud sounded weird.)
