Remember when I said I was feeling out of sorts yesterday? Well there was a reason. I think I may have been channeling all the frantic activity of my friends and family.

Yesterday at Storvik Novice Tourney their Majesties Valharic and Arielle set me on vigil for the Order of the Laurel.

I had NO idea what-so-ever because everything that went on was what we usually do at an event. We bring pavilions, we bring enough food to feed an army and all the usual folks were there.

Absolutely Everyone, and apparently this was no small group, kept the secret.

I'll post more as my brain sorts out all the data.

Day late and a dollar short here - but I really want to tell you again how happy I am for you! I didn't find out until Thursday when I got back from my work travel - and I was hopping around the kitchen in glee when Her Majesty told me.

Well done - I only wish it could have been a bit cooler for your vigil, but at least we didn't have torrential downpours.

Thank you for letting Bright Hills take up so much acreage at your event. We had all four of our pavilions set up this time! 3-20x20's and the 20x40 for the royals. You'd think we were afraid of the weather!

It was a beautiful day at a really nice site. Will you be using it again?

Oh yes! No rain=good thing!

Actually, I was thrilled that you *had* that much tentage to use! Our baronial canvas has suffered serious damage and much was tossed at the last inventory due to excessive mold, mildew and evilness.

This is the usual site we have for Novice. They are very used to various historical groups using the site - they sponsor a Marching Through Time - like the Military Through the Ages but on a somewhat smaller scale. Over time, the mansion has been getting some really wonderful renovations, and it feels good to be helping out.

The Croom site we use for Birthday has a nice flush bathroom facility, but lacks the rolling hills aspect.

Now to get focussed on the Pensic packing - ack!

Master Chirhart has been a wonderful Baronial Steward and we even get a friendly lecture from him if tents comeback and they are not folded correctly!

I attended the "Evil Master School of Pavilion Foldage" just before Sapphire Joust. :-)
